Marché Privé, a curated luxury pop-up

market is proud to announce its inaugural event

celebrating Chicago's BIPOC creative entrepreneurs.

Scheduled to coincide with Derby Day, Marché Privé will

take place on Saturday, May 4th, from 10 am to 3 pm at

The Promontory, located at 5311 S. Lake Park Ave.,

Chicago.

This daytime social and vendor fair aims to be a

celebration for all, offering an opportunity to support

local BIPOC businesses. Admission is free for all guests,

and the event will feature a vibrant atmosphere with

music is provided by DJ Tess and a bar open for

purchases.

"We are thrilled to introduce Marché Privé to the

Chicago community, providing a platform to showcase

the incredible talent and creativity of BIPOC

entrepreneurs," said Maureen Crichlow, Hyde Park

resident, owner of the wellness brand Moonstone

Chandlery® and creator of Marché Privé Chicago.

“After vending at over a hundred local markets, I wanted to

create an opportunity for others. I think it’s so important

for BIPOC creative entrepreneurs to develop spaces to

flourish in business.”

Maureen is organizing the event with the help of fellow

creative entrepreneur Peter Gaona, owner of the

esteemed culturally conscious fashion brand Reformed

School and Brittany Ramsey, owner of

#Thisisthecookout, a purposeful statement fashion

clothing line.

“At #Thisisthecookout, a key part of our mission is to

celebrate and uplift Black people, our culture, our

history, and our advancement, while fostering

community. We hope that an event like Marché Privé

provides opportunities to connect, promote and

highlight the immense creativity, vibrancy, and talent of

The City of Chicago offers, in all BIPOC creators,” stated

Brittany Ramsey.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in Derby Day

themed fashion, adding to the festive ambiance of the

event. "Derby Day serves as the perfect backdrop for

our inaugural event, and we invite everyone to join us

for a fun day filled with shopping, music, and community

celebration,” Maureen stated.

From fashion and accessories to self-care and home

decor, Marché Privé will offer a curated selection of

luxury goods crafted by local BIPOC artisans. “We are

providing an immersive shopping experience you will

not receive online,” Peter Gaona added.
