About

A free community bike ride to celebrate Black Joy and Black History Month.

All you need is a set of any kind of wheels and a love for the Black community to join this free event. All ages are welcome.

We will be there early setting up around 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. The ride begins at 1 pm at West Oakland Bart and goes for 14 miles through town towards Emeryville/Berkeley, wrapping back swinging by Lake Merritt and stops at Township Commons before heading back to West Oakland Bart for a little function with a DJ, light refreshments, and announcing raffle winners.

Enter the raffle here to win a bike for children 18 years and younger. You can also enter the raffle in person at the event.

MUSIC: We encourage you to bring your own portable speaker and jam out.

WHAT TO WEAR: This is an outdoor, socially distanced event so please dress accordingly: helmet, mask, shoes you can comfortably ride in, layers to stay warm (Bay Area!), a fanny-pack or something to keep your personal items secure.

Feeling spirited?! Show up in your favorite Black Joy Parade swag!
