Pop of Culture is a global community that supports and celebrates Black entrepreneurs and creatives through multi-city popup shops, marketing, and community building. We have dope events not only in New York City, but also in Washington D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles and Atlanta. Our mission is to create an ecosystem, centered around business and entertainment, that provides superior value and opportunities for those within it. We are FOR THE CULTURE and care about creating spaces in which members of the community can come together and support one another.

THE EVENT

JUNETEENTH is all about celebrating the freedom and heritage of Black Americans and that is exactly what we intend to do! What better way to celebrate than by having fun, supporting Black-owned, and giving back to the community?! Come out on June 18th and 19th to:

-Shop 40+ local Black-owned brands

-Enjoy food and drinks by local companies

-Experience live painting by Darlene Deloris, The Attie Project, and Leon Tilman

-Partake in candle making sessions led by the amazing Rewax & Unwine

-Enjoy DJ sets (DJ's to be announced soon)

-Get your hands on some free products provided by Black Girl Sunscreen and other brands!

-Get some pics for the 'gram

-Play games and network

-Give back to the community by supporting two non-profits doing amazing work, The Black Women's Blueprint and The Campaign Against Hunger

This year we've partnered with two Black owned and operated non-profit organizations that are doing amazing work not only for the Black community, but for anyone who can benefit from their services.

The Black Women's Blueprint is a community whose mission is to provide services and spaces for healing, reconciliation, and human connection with the natural world. Working with land, we bring people together to design and practice strategies for healing, health and reparative economics. They're creating space to seed health and turn the tide on the social determinants of health, foster healing and practice radical reconciliation, and enable people to have access to land and to be in mutuality with the land.

The Campaign Against Hunger is a community whose mission is to empower our neighbors to lead healthier, more productive, and self-sufficient lives by increasing access to safe, nutritious food and related resources. Over the past 22 years, they've grown to serve neighbors in 150 zip codes with food and other vital programs and services, such as SNAP registration, health insurance enrollment, nutrition and education classes, cooking demonstrations, and more.
